Elisea “Bebet” Gozun, is the former Secretary of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and former Presidential Assistant for Climate Change. In 2007, she was recognized by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) as the Champion of the Earth for Asia and the Pacific.

An activist involved with many national and regional NGOs 1 working towards sustainable development, she has served as consultant on environmental management, climate change and urban development to WB, ADB, and other development partners. She was the Institutional and Engagement Specialist for the World Bank’s Risk Resiliency Program (RRP) working with the Cabinet Cluster and 17 provinces that are highly vulnerable to climate hazards and Climate Resiliency Team Leader for the USAID-funded Be Secure project. She was the Project Director of the City Development Strategy (CDS) project of the League of Cities of the Philippines with WB & Cities Alliance (which guided 58 cities on their path to sustainable development).
