Ms. Klarise Espinosa Fortaleza

Ms. Klarise Espinosa Fortaleza, Deputy Division Chief of the Economic, Social, and Cultural Rights Center, Commission on Human Rights Philippines

Ms. Klarise Espinosa Fortaleza is currently the Deputy Division Chief of the Economic, Social, and Cultural Rights Center under the Centers Management Office of the Commission on Human Rights. Her work in the ESCR Center focuses mainly on business and human rights, environment and climate change, human settlements, and indigenous peoples.

She has been in the development and human rights work since 2010 where she worked for both non-governmental organizations and government institutions. She also has extensive experience in policy and program development and advocacy.

Ms. Klarise graduated with a law degree and earned a Master’s degree in Public Administration in 2021.
